Ashutosh Sathe

Hi! I am a grad student at IIT Bombay where I work with Prof. Sunita Sarawagi largely focussing on diverse text generation. I did my undergrad studies in computer science from College of Engineering, Pune. I was previously a research intern at Video Analytics Lab, IISc Bangalore where I explored defenses against adversarial examples. I also spent summer 2018 as a software development intern at IIT Bombay working on IITBombayX platform.

I’m interested in building robust, interpretable machine learning models that are ready for real-world applications.

In one of my favourite videos, Prof. Patrick Winston mentioned that “intelligence was a discovery rather than a result of evolution”. I find this statement really intriguing and it motivates me to do research. In long term, I hope to contribute to the research community by modelling some aspects of human intelligence.
